Sandblasting Halls Head
Coastal Mandurah — boats and trailers, painted brick and limestone, and steel that has spent too long near salt air.
Blasting in Halls Head
Halls Head is boats and coastal housing. Trailers and boat trailers rust from the axle up, alloy and fibreglass hulls need anti-foul and coating work, and brick and limestone walls carry paint that has chalked in the sun.
Salt is the local factor. Anything that has lived near the water carries chloride contamination, which blisters a new coating if it is not washed out — wet blasting flushes salts as it works.

In short
Halls Head is part of our regular Mandurah run. Boats, trailers, coastal steel and domestic masonry, all done on site with containment. Salt is flushed as we blast, which matters for anything being recoated. Call 0458 531 878.
What we blast around Halls Head
Boats and trailers. Anti-foul, coatings and marine growth off alloy, steel and fibreglass, plus trailers back to sound metal. See marine sandblasting.
Domestic masonry. Painted brick, limestone walls, render and alfresco areas stripped back, with a test panel first. See construction sandblasting.
Coastal steel. Gates, balustrades, pergola frames, roller doors and outdoor furniture that have started to bloom in the salt air.
Mobile or workshop
Almost everything here is done on site — driveway, side yard or hardstand. Removable items like gates and furniture are often quicker done in the workshop, and we can collect.
What the coast does to coatings here
Halls Head is canal and coastal residential, and salt exposure sets the agenda.
- Trailer boats, alloy hulls and outboard brackets, done at the property
- Balustrades, pool fencing and gates where the coating has blistered from the substrate up
- Garage and shed steel, roller door frames and lintels showing rust bleed
- Outdoor furniture, BBQ frames and hardware worth stripping properly rather than repainting over
- Driveway and alfresco concrete, including exposed-aggregate finishes

Halls Head questions
Working in Halls Head
Can you blast a boat on its trailer in my driveway?
Yes, that is a common job. We tarp underneath, mask fittings and contain the spent media, and there is no plume drifting across the street.
Is fibreglass safe to blast?
Yes, at low pressure with a fine media — or with soda where the gelcoat must not be cut at all. See our guide to soda blasting alloy and fibreglass.
Does salt affect the job?
It affects the coating. Chloride contamination under a new coating causes blistering, and wet blasting flushes salts out as it strips.
Do you travel to Halls Head?
Yes, it is part of our regular Mandurah run. Travel is included for the Mandurah area rather than charged separately.
Do you cover Halls Head and the Mandurah canals?
Yes, as part of standard Peel-region work alongside Mandurah. Access on canal blocks is the usual limiting factor, so tell us what side access exists.
Why does the coating keep failing on my balustrade?
Almost always preparation. Painting over salt contamination and existing rust locks the problem underneath the new film. Stripping to clean metal and priming properly is what stops the cycle.
