Accessibility statement

The standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard referenced by Australian government digital policy and it is the benchmark we check this site against.

What we have done

• Keyboard access — every link, button, form field and the main menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A visible focus outline shows where you are.
• Skip link — the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user hits is a "skip to content" link that jumps past the navigation.
• Headings in order — one h1 per page, then properly nested headings, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
• Real alt text — every job photograph describes what is actually happening in it, not just a filename. There are over a hundred of them and they were written by hand.
• Colour contrast — body text, buttons and links are checked against their backgrounds to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 ratio.
• Text that scales — the layout holds together at 200% zoom without content being lost or requiring horizontal scrolling.
• Touch targets — buttons and links on mobile are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
• No motion traps — nothing autoplays, flashes or moves without you asking it to.
• Labelled forms — every field on the quote form has a visible label and states whether it is required.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you than have you find out:

• The before-and-after comparison slider is operated by dragging. Both photographs are also published separately in the photo gallery with full alt text, so no information is only available through the slider.
• Some older job photographs are lower resolution than we would like and can look soft when zoomed.
• PDF quotes we email are generated by our accounting software and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask and we will send the same quote as plain text or read it to you.

Getting help another way

You never have to use this website to deal with us. Call 0458 531 878, email info@dustlessblastingservices.com.au, or send photographs by text message. If you use the National Relay Service, call us through it on 133 677 — we take those calls the same as any other.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site does not work for you, email us with the page address and what happened. We treat accessibility faults as bugs and aim to respond within five business days. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will tell you how to get the same information another way.
